Residential HVAC Maintenance Technician
JOB SUMMARY
Three Rivers, operating under Blue Mountain Construction, is seeking a motivated and experienced Residential HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our growing team in Sacramento. In this role, you’ll be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on residential HVAC systems while delivering exceptional service to our customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Incumbent must have the skills, ability, and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Perform routine maintenance and system inspections for residential HVAC equipment
- Diagnose and repair issues with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
- Provide clear, detailed reports on work performed and recommendations for service
- Educate homeowners on energy efficiency, system usage, and maintenance best practices
- Promote and upsell additional services or system upgrades
- Manage service calls from start to finish with professionalism and a customer-first mindset
- Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and job site
- Follow all safety protocols and HVAC industry standards
- Collaborate with other technicians and office staff to ensure efficient workflow
- Accurately track and report parts usage
- OSHA 10 training and certification (can be acquired after hire)
KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Proven experience in residential HVAC maintenance and repair
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- EPA certification and any required local/state HVAC licenses
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Physical ability to lift equipment and work in various conditions (indoors/outdoors, hot/cold weather)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical stamina: HVAC Installer/ technicians may work extended amount of hours walking, standing, and may need to be physically active without getting tired.
Bending & Crawling: HVAC Installer/ technicians may work extended amount of hours kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders.
Lifting: HVAC Installer/ technicians may need to lift large parts and objects, and should be properly trained to safely do so. They should also be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
Working in extreme conditions: HVAC Installer/ technicians may need to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on the time of year.
COMPENSATION
The base pay range for this position is: $21.00 - $27.00.
- Base pay plus commission on individual service revenue
- Additional commission on turnover jobs and technician referrals
- Bonus opportunities based on customer feedback and performance metrics
