• Zone 7 Connection Fee Going Up

  • The Zone 7 water agency is set to increase its basic connection fee by 3.6 percent to reflect the change in the Engineering News Record Construction Cost Index from December 2016 to September 2017. Starting Jan. 1, 2018, the fee in most of the Zone 7 service area for a 5/8 meter will increase $1,000 per dwelling unit from $27,180 to $28,170. In Dougherty Valley, the fee will increase $950 from $26,080 per dwelling unit to $27,030. The water agency’s governing board is scheduled to vote on the annual inflationary increase at its meeting on Oct. 18, 2017. Zone 7 supplies treated drinking water to retailers serving approximately 220,000 people in Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin and, through special agreement with the Dublin San Ramon Services District, to the Dougherty Valley area.
