• Vacaville Considers Ag Mitigation Fee

  • Vacaville city leaders will discuss the formation of an agricultural and avian foraging habitat mitigation in-lieu fee during a public hearing set for March 26, 2019. The city already requires developers to preserve one acre of agricultural land for every acre of farmland converted to other uses. Under the proposed in-lieu program, developers would pay Vacaville a fee and the city would partner with the Solano Land Trust to purchase the appropriate mitigation property. No fee amounts have been publicly identified. The hearing begins at 6 p.m. at the Vacaville City Council’s chambers, 650 Merchant St., Vacaville. The staff report will be available on March 22, 2019.
