The City of Santa Clara may soon be increasing Traffic Impact Fees, including the levying of new traffic fees on housing. If adopted as recommended by Staff, the City will impose a new Traffic Impact Fee of $1,169 per single family unit and $519 per multifamily unit. Also, a new Multimodal $615.78 fee is recommended on every PM peak hour trip traveling through any of the seven MIP intersections. The Santa Clara City Council will discuss, hear public comments related to both fees, and make a recommendation related to these fees at the July 10, 2018 meeting.
