The City of San Mateo City Council will review inclusionary housing Staff recommendations and an accompanying feasibility study at its February 3rd meeting, potentially increasing inclusionary dedication percentages and tightening developers’ flexibility. Inclusionary Housing requirements on new for sale and rental housing would go from the current policy of allowing a builder option of either 10% or 15% on site units, depending on affordability level, to 15% at 70% AMI.
