• Orinda Set to Raise Most Fees

  • Orinda will consider adopting a new technology fee along with hiking charges on a dozens of other development-related fees during a public hearing set for July 16, 2019. The new technology surcharge would be 3 percent of the application fee. Most of the city’s other planning and engineering fees are scheduled to rise based on either a city ordinance or the Consumer Price Index. The park dedication fee will increase by $1,181 per single-family unit to $17,358 or 7.3 percent while the drainage impact fee will jump from $1.41 per sq. ft. of new impervious surface to $1.46.
