• Oakley Seeks to Reinstate Pre-Recession Impact Fees

  • BIA|Bay Area will ask the Oakley City Council to spread the resumption of its pre-Recession traffic and park fees over two years rather than return immediately to the higher fees on July 1, 2015. If the City Council concurs at its meeting on May 26, 2015, proposed 180 percent fee increases of $14,975 for single-family houses would ramp up over suggested six-month increments. BIA is also urging the City Council to meet with members of the residential development community to discuss the industry's financial challenges and to commit to annual reviews of how the fees are impacting housing production numbers. Interested BIA members are encouraged to attend the City Council meeting tonight, which begins at 6:30 p.m., Oakley City Hall, 3231 Main St., Oakley. Click here for meeting agenda.
