BIA Bay Area continues to monitor City of Mountain View efforts to enact a “Citywide School Strategy” that may try to force home builders to pay significantly more in school impact fees than is required by State law. In a recent Staff Report on a new project in the Whisman Precise Plan area, the Mountain View Whisman School District has requested that the City delay approval of the project until the school strategy is adopted. BIA has submitted a letter to the City Council and will comment at the virtual hearing on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at 6:30pm.
