Mountain View’s Below Market Rate Affordable Housing Program Ordinance is on the agenda for the Environmental Planning Commission(EPC) at its next meeting on Wednesday January 17, 2018. The EPC will consider adopting recommendations to the MV City Council to 1) increase the inclusionary percentage requirement from 10% to 15%; to adopt AB 1505 provisions that allow the City to require inclusionary units for both rental and for-sale developments; to increase the current rental in-lieu fee from $17 per sq. ft. to $35 per sq. ft.; and to include flexible alternative compliance options that may comprise a mix of units, fees, and/or land dedication.
