Transit Area Specific Plan fees in the City of Milpitas will likely surge upwards when the City Council takes action at its next meeting on November 19, 2019. New fees would hit a new high of $40,487 per residential unit, up from the current fees of $32,781 per residential unit; an increase of $7,706. The Council may decide to phase in the fees over the next year in 3 tiers effective January 19, 2020 with payment due at building permit. Some 1,964 units that have received Site Development Permits will be subject to over $15 million in fee increases depending on BP submittals in the phased fee increase schedule.
