On September 3 the Los Gatos City Council will be reviewing a consultant and staff recommendation to prepare an ordinance designating one percent of building valuation costs for new development to fund public arts. The city’s Arts & Culture Commission originally recommended a 1 ½ percent requirement on development projects but the Keyser Marston analysis recommends a 1% cost of development fee.
