• Hayward Seeks Route 238 Development Input

  • Hayward will host a community meeting to discuss the development potential for nearly 100 acres of city-owned property originally earmarked for a State Route 238 bypass. At the forum set for Nov. 15, 2018, city staff and consultants will provide an overview of the parcels and take feedback on what the community would like to see built on the sites. The event will be held from 6-8 p.m. at the Matt Jimenez Community Center, 28200 Ruus Road in Hayward. No advance registration is required. Based on feedback received at this meeting and other input, the city will prepare a more detailed draft master site plan for each parcel. The Hayward City Council and the community will have an opportunity to comment on the draft plan at subsequent meetings in 2019.
