Brentwood is expected to finalize its restoration of the city’s pre-2012 affordable housing inclusionary program during the city council’s meeting on April 28, 2020. If adopted, the city’s inclusionary percentage will increase from 2 percent to 6 percent starting in late May. The percentage will rise to the pre-2012 level of 10 percent on Jan. 1, 2021. All new residential projects with five or more units, including rental developments, will be subject to the ordinance. Projects with development applications deemed complete prior to the effective date of the ordinance are exempt from the change. Click HERE to read the agenda and staff report.
