The Antioch City Council ratified higher fire facility impact fees recently adopted by the Contra Costa Fire Protection District. Under the change, the fee per single family unit will increase 61 percent from $591 to $951 and the multi-family rate will rise 58 percent from $285 to $451 per unit. Antioch collects the fees and transfers to the Contra Costa Fire Protection District for projects that benefit Antioch. The new rates will go into effect in late October.
