Antioch Finalizes Fee Update
The Antioch City Council finalized its months-long cost of services fee study and adopted changes that will go into effect on Sept. 24, 2018. Charges will change across numerous areas in community development, planning and engineering. For example, the planning fee for a minor administrative use permit fee will increase from $156 to $505 each but the charge for a major permit will change from a $1,500 deposit to a flat $1,075. Engineering fees will also change. For example, encroachment permits will increase from a flat $150 apiece to $190 per permit for projects up to $50,000. Higher valued projects will be charged the full allocated hourly rates for staff time plus outside costs. Residential park in-lieu fees will drop slightly from $1,598 per single family detached unit to $1,500.
