• 2019 Candidate Cultivation Academy

  • The Silicon Valley Organization (SVO), formerly San Jose/Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce, will be conducting a 2019 Candidate Cultivation Academy beginning in January 2019. BIA members are encouraged to refer individuals who have a business background who may be interested in running for public office to contact Pat Sausedo, BIA Government Affairs South Bay at psausedo@biabayarea.org. The program will be focused on educating potential candidates on the ins and outs of running a successful campaign for public office and key public policy issues in Silicon Valley. The Academy will focus on (1) Campaign Tactics 101 (2) Crafting Your Message (3) Fundraising (4) Seeking Endorsement (5) Public Policy & Advocacy (6) Improving Public Speaking Skills (7) Social Media (8) How to Debate Effectively.     • Time: 10:00am to 3:00pm
    • Fee: $1,000 per participant
