Michele Joy, VP Sales & Marketing Brookfield Residential |
Michele Joy is Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Brookfield Residential Northern California. She holds nearly 30 years of experience in the real estate and homebuilding industries. Michele leads the sales, marketing, design studio, customer experience and escrow functions of the Northern California division. Prior to joining Brookfield Residential, Michele was Regional Vice President of Sales & Marketing for CalAtlantic Homes Northern California Divisions. She also served at KB Home, where she held several positions including Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the company's Sacramento region and Director of Marketing and Communications for the corporate division. Michele is an active member of the Building Industry Association, Women's Housing Leadership Group Northern California and is a licensed California real estate broker. She is a graduate of University of California, Berkeley, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. |

Carrie Newbery, VP of Community Experience Tri Pointe Homes |
Carrie Newbery has over 35 years of real estate experience. She joined Tri Pointe Homes in March of 2012. She is responsible for developing and implementing sales and marketing programs throughout the Bay Area including hiring model merchandizing firms to furnish the homes and sales professionals to sell them. She is also responsible for overseeing the operation of the Tri Pointe Homes Design Studio and is passionate about creating a great customer experience. Prior to joining the team at Tri Pointe Homes, she worked for an independent sales and marketing firm where she was responsible for directing sales and marketing efforts of residential developments throughout the South Bay. Prior to that, Carrie was the VP of Sales and Marketing at William Lyon Homes, responsible for all the sales and marketing efforts throughout Northern California. Her professional experience includes spearheading award-winning marketing and advertising campaigns that have resulted in successful community sellouts and putting together winning sales teams. She has served as a judge for the Elan Awards in Los Angeles and has served as President of the Sales and Marketing council of the BIA of Northern California. Carrie earned her degree in Liberal Studies from California State University, Sacramento. Mrs. Newbery currently resides in the Bay Area with her husband of 35 years. They have two grown sons that they love to hang out with. |

Sandy Richert, VP Sales & Marketing Trumark Homes |
Sandy Richert has been licensed as a Real Estate agent since 1991 and began her new homes Real Estate career with Centex Homes in 1993. In 2002, she was recruited by Pulte Homes to join the team as a Sales Manager over the South Bay communities and was promoted to General Sales Manager as her territory grew to cover the North and East Bay neighborhoods. In 2004 she was selected as the representative from Northern California to participate on Pulte's Women's Leadership Council, where 21 women from across the country worked to highlight the importance of women in Homebuilding, and create programs rolled out in all the National Divisions to support recruitment, education and retention of high-performing women within the organization. In 2006 this Council merged with the Diversity Council and formed the Diversity and Inclusion Council that was active until 2007. Sandy has been a member of the SMC since 1993 and has served on the Board of Directors since 2007 in various capacities including President in 2014. She has also chaired several committees, including the Excellence in Home Building Awards (formerly MAME), twice. Sandy is currently serving as an Ambassador to the SMC Board of Directors. She has earned MAME Rookie of the Year, Salesperson of the year, Sales Manager of the Year twice, the SMC President's Award, and in 2015 the first ever Sales Veteran of the Year Award. In 2016 she joined the Trumark Homes team in Northern California. Sandy is currently serving as the Division Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Trumark Homes. |

With over 30 years of experience and training in both architecture and structural engineering, Don's work benefits from his well-rounded breadth of expertise. Both Don's experience and excellent eye for design have made him a distinguished and sought-after industry leader. He is frequently invited to speak at industry conferences and to judge in industry award programs. | |
