Candace Andersen Contra Costa County Supervisor District 2 Candace was elected to the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors in 2012 and quickly established herself as an effective countywide leader. She is widely respected for her competency and her compassionate approach to making county government work for all of her constituents. Candace?s political life took root in Morgan Hill in the early 1990s where she served on its city council while pursuing her professional career as an attorney. When she and her husband, Phil, moved to Danville a decade later, she continued serving her community as an elected member of the Danville Town Council from 2003-2012. A licensed attorney in California and Hawaii, Candace returned to her hometown of Honolulu after law school and worked as a prosecuting attorney. (In a fun fact about Candace?s school years, she attended the famed Punahou School with the then-teenaged President Barack Obama.) Candace and her husband, Phil, have been married 34 years and have six children and five grandchildren. |
