• San Ramon Valley USD Considers Fee Hike

  • The San Ramon Valley Unified School District is poised to increase its school impact fee nearly 9 percent despite projected districtwide enrollment declines. BIA|Bay Area submitted a letter noting the discrepancy, arguing that it makes little sense to drive up the price of housing to fund unneeded school facilities. Originally scheduled for May 8, 2018, the SVUSD Board of Education is now set to hold a public hearing on June 12, 2018, to to consider adopting Level 1 developer fees in the amount of $3.79 per sq. ft. of residential construction and $0.61 per sq. ft. of commercial/industrial and senior housing within the boundaries of the district. This would result in an increase of $0.31 per sq. ft., or 8.9 percent.
