• San Jose Issues Draft Inclusionary Guidelines

  • The San Jose Housing Department is in the process of updating its implementation guidelines for the city's Inclusionary Housing Ordinance or IHO. At this time, the Housing Department has only published the IHO main document and three subchapters that detail the compliance options for each tenure of for sale and rental housing. Staff asks that comments on the draft IHO interim guidelines be submitted before July 13, 2018. To view the draft guidelines, visit: http://www.sanjoseca.gov/DocumentCenter/View/78570 

    Draft guidelines for each subsequent compliance options will be completed in the near future. Submit comments via email to Delilah Chavez at delilah.chavez@sanjoseca.gov and specify the section of the ordinance or the guidelines to which you have questions or comments. Not all comments will be addressed directly and staff may follow up with questions and/or requests for more information. If it pertains to a specific development project, please provide the context and detailed project information, such as the Planning Development permit number, for example.
