• Pleasanton Asks For Input

  • Pleasanton is seeking development industry input regarding a proposed requirement that 20 percent of homes in new single-family projects of 15 or more incorporate “compact” units of 500 to 1,800 sq. ft. Staff believes the requirement will help facilitate the construction of “affordable by design” homes. The requirement could be satisfied with accessory dwelling units or “granny flats.” The city is inviting industry representatives to participate in a public hearing before the Planning Commission starting at 7 p.m. on June 27, 2018. The comments and considerations provided by the city’s housing and planning commissions will be used to prepare the draft code amendments and brought before the City Council later this summer.
