The East Contra Costa Fire Protection District is hosting two State of the District town halls designed to share information about the district’s proposed strategic planning process and next steps following the first direct election of a five-member first board in November 2018. The first town hall is set for June 18, 2018, starting at 6 p.m., Scout Hall, 30 Ranch Lane on Bethel Island. Click here to view and download the agenda. Following the new board members’ formal election later this year, they are expected to embark on a plan to beef up the region’s fire protection levels with added stations and personnel.
