• Napa Considering Affordable Housing Fee Hike

  • Napa elected leaders are set to consider a proposed fourfold increase in the city's affordable housing impact fee on new single-family development. If the City Council adopts the rates at its meeting on June 2, 2015, fees would also rise for other uses including condos, hotels and retail shops. The proposed rates are: single-family, from $2.20 to $10.50 per sq; condominium, from $2.20 to $10.50; multi-family, $3.75 to $5.50; office, $1 to $5.25; retail, 80 cents to $5.50; hotel $1.40 to $9.00; and warehouse, 50 cents to $3.60.
