The Fremont Unified Board of Directors moved to defer the adoption of a sharply increased Level 2 fee for 2016-17 to a special hearing Friday May 20. Prior to the May 11th meeting, the District issued new School Facilities Needs Analysis (SFNA) that purportedly shows a justification to charge up to $8.20 per sq. ft., a $2.50 increase. BIA submitted a letter of comment, and the Board agreed that in addition to violation of notification timelines, the District needed more time to issue a formal response to BIA concerns.
