Contra Costa County proposes to increase transportation impact fees in Bay Point and reduce rates in Bethel Island based on updated nexus studies. In Bay Point, county staff will recommend increasing the fee by $4,083 per single-family unit from the existing $3,582 to $7,665 per unit or 114 percent. In Bethel Island, the fee is recommended to drop $1,766 per single family unit from $3,347 to $1,581, or 53 percent. A public hearing on the rate changes will be held in August 2016.
